Two classes are planned on Friday 7th April and Sunday 9 April 2017 with Susan-Claire Mayfield who is the speaker for Country Day being held on Saturday 8 April 2017.

The class on Friday is a mystery quilt but we can tell you you need 5 fabrics. 2 are background fabrics-a couple of shades different (ie 1 could be dark blue and the other a few shades lighter). The other 3 colours are to contract with the background colours but are to go together (ie aqua, pink, purple). The finished quilt is 84 inches square. There is some pre-cutting so that will will get most of the top done on the Friday.

The class on Sunday  is a woven bag (small hand bag size). Several techniques are used in making the bag. You will make strips and weave them for the sides of the bag and also do some decorative free motion stitching to make the flower and leaf vines.

Each class costs $70 for non-members of Quilters & Patchworkers of Otago  and if you want to do both classes it is only $100 for the two.
